Morning peeps,

So days after the truck got through its MOT, the clutch failed on me. Rather, apparently, it's the clutch fork. I have a slightly eye watering quote from the garage to do the work but fundamentally they are stumped in their search for a clutch fork. It's an obsolete part at Nissan. Any suggestion as to where to find one? One option is to weld up the old one. Any thoughts on that idea? My thought is that in that circumstance I would choose not to replace anything (clutch, slave cyclinder) and look to move the vehicle on (clutch itself is only 4 years old).

Finally, I'm at a loss to identify if the fork looks like this: https://www.bestpartstore.co.uk/13903550-original-imperium-release-fork-clutch or this:

I'm sure it will be the more expensive latter.

Cheers Rick.

Only thing is it says it's for the 2.7 and not the 3.0 (if you expand TERRANO under suitable vehicles). Other fork gives no clues at all.

Update: Hmmm. Just had a lok at the workshop manual (as acquired from this good site) and indeed it looks like the cheaper unit and there seems to be no difference between 2.7 and 3.0.
