The clutch slave cylinder in accessible from underneath, remove the plastic under tray, 4 x M6 bolts at rear, and 2 at front held by the metal bash plate.
If the clutch needed bleeding you would have a situation that the clutch wouldn't release enough and you would crash gears, I would have thought.
But not unreasonable to change the fluid anyway, but don't think this would make any difference.
The problem could be the slave cylinder not returning so you could slacken the 2 bolts on the slave and check the clutch release arm isn't being held in by the slave cylinder.
Also check there is no oil dripping from the bottom of the bell housing that holds the clutch.
There is a clutch test you can do, can't find the info at the moment, but involves stalling the engine in a higher gear????
