just a first post for anyone out there who has had the dreaded clutch fault took all my pipes off back to the tee piece and replaced with one aeroquip hose directly from master to slave cylinder and this seems to make my clutch feel so much more lighter cost 25 big ones from local supplier all nice stainless fittings and braided hose covered in plastic protection fitted and bled within 1 hr :thumb2

Good advice, Beaker. Seems that all T2 owners have to do this or get it done eventually. My local garage mentioned this as supplementary info on an MOT last year, mistaking them for 'corroded fuel pipes'. Had the clutch pipes removed back in the Summer.

dont have any links but any power transmission /hydraulic shop should be able to make them up its the same stuff as me motor bikes brake lines which has an advantage of no swell on pipes when used so constant pressure and the look a lot better than standard crap :thumb2

did the very same thing over a year ago now, and to the fuel supply and return pipes. All good. Pig of a job, but a necessary one at the time.:thumb2

Sorry guys late to this thread:augie
What is the issue in the first place with the clutch pipe and why does it go to a tee piece?

i think it is where the damper pipe takes off, like a prat i bought a new pipe, should of just done away with it, but that was when i first joined this site. :doh

Damper pipe you say, hmm :augie
Think I'll be losing that when I do the clutch then, the fewer pipes down there the better :sly
