On starting my '04 2.7 Terrano this morning I noticed that the clutch pedal was in the down position. The car has behaved ok since, any ideas what could have caused this, is this a symptom of something wrong?

Hope you can help - many thanks!

possibly a leaky pipe under the right hand side of the car, Mine went when I was on holiday it was ok for a bit then completely went. the signs are plenty of leaking clutch fluid under the car and check the fluid level in the clutch fluid pot under the bonnet.

and for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the pipe :doh

There are loads of posts on here about it :thumb2

is it a round one with holes in the end ? :augie:lol

clutch pedal bracket cracks on these and sticks occasionally sadly it gets progressively worse

easy fix if you can weld though bout an hour

So its been fine all day????

Was it all the way down to the floor, or sort of 'stuck' down a little?

Ive a 05, the clutch would work fine but occasionally stick half way up and you'd have to 'pop' it to the top with your toe!

50p clutch spring from Nissan didnt fix it, so in the end up had a new clutch pedel assembly (bout £50).... fitted under warrenty! :augie

Thanks for your replies - no sign of any leaking fluid and pedal was only half way down, shall see how it goes.

Contort yourself in the footwell and check the assembly for any obvious cracks - also whilst your down their check your spring aint come of :thumb2
