Hi All,
Thought I'd allready posted this question but cant find it so here goes again.
One of the springs on my Terra's clutch pedal has snapped off, whats left of the spring does return the pedal (just, and I dont know how long it will last) so I was wondering if these can be replaced or do I need a whole clutch pedal unit.
Has anybody had this problem before? if so how did you sort it.
Thanks

You can replace just the spring and it is actually all one spring with a pigtail coil at each side

Toolbox.
Thanks for that, next obvious question is can you recommend anywhere to get a replacement spring?
Cheers

mine broke so i threw it out the window , i never fitted the replacement i got from the breakers

Interesting, did you have any problem with the pedal not fully returning?

Hi im on my 2nd t2 and this has happened to both all i do is manualy lift pedal after every change with my foot SIMPLES once you get used to doin it.

Got to be honest mine broke on one side, so I purchased a new one from Nissan, (about £10 I think) its been sitting in the glove box awaiting fitting for about 2 years. Pedal still returns fully with half a spring.

Yep,
My remaining half of the spring seems to be holding up, so I'll leave it like it is. I suppose if it finally goes I could allways bodge it with a Bungie, one end to the pedal the other hooked over the dashboared lip!!!!! LOL

i thought you was going to say hook it on the steering wheel for minute:lol
at least it would lift the pedal.:thumbs

clutch spring

hi tezzer if it is hooked to the steering wheel can we have some before and after piccys please.

(sorry zippy, piccys are normally your dept.)

paulp

My clutch pedal sticks as it catches on the bottom of the steering columm. If I bend it back it's fine for ages but over time it bends back again. Must be the way I press the pedal .
