Thanks all great ideas. But there still another BUT.

It's OD is 10mm and I'm trying to create an id of 8mm.Too much pressure to hold it tends to squash it into and oval shape !

How about heating up the other end of an 8mm bit and trying that ?

If you are going to do that, I would put it in the pedal hole first, otherwise the meat may just make it expand to a larger outer size. The other thing is trying to keep it straight and central.

Have you tried using a lubricant as you drill, like WD40, to stop the binding.

My mate machined me a new bush from some sort of hard plastic yesterday, totally solved the problem and should be longer lasting than the original nylon Bush. He is happy to make some more of anyone is interested in buying them, not really sure how much he should charge but they are women made and exactly the size of the original.

Women made ?!

I'd be interested in getting a couple

I think I may have meant well made? If anyone is seriously interested in them let me know and I will see how much he will charge for them. What is a fair price bearing in mind they are £6.75+ vat from Nissan. £3 each or 2 for a fiver sound fair?

Job Done.

I used one of these (you only need 1)

The length needs to be trimmed to about 10mm. I used a bench grinder. A vice and a hacksaw squashes it. If you have a dremel with a cutting disc that would probably work.

I took the under panel off (4 screws and it pops off) to give more access.

I'm not the slimmest or most flexible , but it took 5 minutes and my clutch is back to normal, just put a bit of grease inside and outside of the sleeve to make sure.

Does this fix the "having to pull your pedal up with your foot" syndrome?:nenau

My pedal needs lifting the last inch or so, it's becoming a habit, I was doing it in the Transit van the other day.:doh

Well finally my clutch pedal is "normal" after buying clivvy's pedal, my brother took it into work and made a new top hat bush out of phosphur brass and it works like a dream!! The nylon spring holders were shot on mine aswell, so not only was it not returning it was also causing the master cylinder to stick causing clutch drag. Done over 100 miles today and not a hint of drag or pedal not returning!! Cheers Clivvy :thumb2

Yep. All cured.

I'm glad my thread has finally got this issue sorted for so many members :D

Well today i have been trying to the bloody arm off the Saxo...no joy :doh:doh.
Anyway, I think I will look at the clutch pedal on Terry, I remove the pin and old plastic bush, which is fooked and have a look around for something suitable, I found a bush in the brake arm from an old push bike, this was brass and after cutting down with a Dremel, fits like a glove.
I fitted the pin and wahooo, normal clutch pedal action :clap:clap

At least something has got sorted today, I think that Saxo must be evil...bloody thing :(:(
