Clutch pedal bush.

My mate has just machined a new bush in phosphorus bronze (for the engineers amongst you, you will know this alloys is notable for its toughness, strength, and low coefficient of friction) for my clutch pedal. Never again will I have to toe lift my pedal! Lol.
He has suggested that he will machine more of these if anyone else wants one for the low price of £4.99, these are machined to the exact size of the original plastic bush which you can buy from Nissan for £7.95+vat so quite a saving and a much more resilient item.

i will have one im sure mines on its way out sometime the pedal is lifht sometimes its hard to push down rick n swifty replaced the clutch for me so i know thats ok i did the master and slave cylinders so their good to it will give me a reason to fit the return spring rick gave me lol

I managed to turn a piece of plastic down with a electric drill and a rasp, :lol.
It fitted perfectly and made a huge difference, in fact it cured the limp pedal syndrome (LPS), but I'm not sure of the quality of the plastic.:nenau

Still rather have someone machine an exact replica in a far more substantial material for less than the price of a packet of fags. :lol

It is minutes! remove the split pin, slide the clevis pin out, throw away the old bush and in the words of the great Haynes Manuals fitting is the reversal of removal :lol

Yeah he just sent me a text to say he has received a few payments, remember guys he probably wont be able to post them out till the weekend as he works full time and my car is in bits at the moment awaiting its new front cross member which he is helping with cutting out nasty rusty bits, replacing with good then fitting the new cross member and I need to get it done while I am on a week off.
