Hi folks ,

as I have been having trouble engaging gears, on inspection

The clutch pedal bracket is broken in at least two places
and needs replacing.

A couple of questions

have any of you had this problem , is it fairly easy to do
and where is the best place to get the part?

thanks in advance.

common to break. just remove and get re welded . easy to remove and re fit

thank you extreme 4x4 for your reply

I have got the bit off but it is too badly damaged to weld
can some kind person give me a contact number for a supplier
of a new one?

Hi mate had same problem, the spot welds had parted just get some small nuts and bolts drill through the bracket where the spots where and bolt e,m together, dont forget to put some washers on. good luck mate.

£135.00 + vat from nissan. if your lucky i had a spare one floating around.will look tomorrow in daylight.

Take care when using Nissan First. They tried to charge me more for used part than a brand new one from a Nissan dealer.

We have one

HI,

Give Ian a call on 07973 416295
We have recently broken a Maverick and purposely removed the clutch pedal as it was in good condition.
Call Ian for a price.

Cheers

Steve.

Yes even with a new one i,d put some bolts on, they really are rubbish welds.

Hi to all I really appreciate your advice.

I priced up a bit from a Nissan dealer and nearly passed out!

Took off the clutch pedal bracket it was very easy to do
the spot welds were broken in at least three places and it
was starting to break up around the bolts that hold it in place
through the bulkhead, probably something to do with my heavy
left boot :)

I took it to a guy with an electric welder , that blew a hole
in it as the metal is very thin, I eventually found a very helpful
man with what looked like a gas and electric welder combined
he made a great job of repairing the bracket.

Please note that my terrano was displaying a lot of signs mentioned
in other posts , clutch pedal going to the floor overnight but can be pulled
back, also a post on here alerted me to the fact that the top bolt can fall out
when I checked before the top bolt wasn't even there.

Thanks again guys

nice easy fix, saved loads a money and probably learned something new along the way. cant fault it :bow

The clutch in my new Mav is very creaky, and I'm also struggling to raise the bite point, despite a successful bleed (got rid of some air). Could it be bracket issues? Where do I need to be looking exactly?
