Hope you dont mind me asking but how did you fix your issues with the accelerator pedal, I was following the post and im not sure if missed how you finally solved it?
sorry, yes, there may have been two posts on this subject due to other confusing issues.
The final fix was...drum roll......another flipping pedal!!! Me and RayF think that I was simply unlucky, and bought the first replacment pedal faulty. The third one I got was from MakeItFit. One thing to conisder though, is that I had previously checked and cleaned all ground points, as there are two for the pedals on the engine block (very small wires), doing this began to improve things but didnt cure it.
I had also previously checked most of my electrics, which all turned out to be fine, i'd used volt meter, test light etc and it just turned out to be as simple as the pedal itself. I think at the time i just found it hard to believe that I had bought yet another faulty pedal so spent a huge amount of time diagnosing (weeks). You can try cleaning the TPS and the AP switch with suitable contact cleaner, but that didnt work for me as the units are sealed....!
So, my symptoms were intermittent or just not working pedal, pushing it achieved nothing. Then maybe it would work for a day, then stop working for two days and so on.
If you have a similar problem, I suggest either borrowing someones pedal to test, or try get a working from from a known working breaker, like I did from MakeItFit. I think they are tremendously expensive from Nissan brand new, but there are a hell of a lot of breakers out there, and the accelerator pedals arent actually that common to be removed, so you will proably drop lucky. dont pay a fortune for it either.:thumb2
