Clutch gone bye byes!! Help

Right guys now's your time to shine
I've finished off my clutch today and had to limp home all slow like
I didn't like it
So, which is the quickest cure?
Gearbox off etc OR engine out?
Also I've seen on ebay "Heavy Duty" clutch kits for the maverick! I need more clutch strength for future mods. Will it work or will I need to do the flywheel mods to get a 3l clutch in?:nenau

Take the box out but you will need to remove the crossmember that holds the torsion bars because not enough room.1st one i did couldnt believe that they designed it like that.Not an easy job sorry

I would say a good days work.slacken the bolts that tension the torsion bars then the arms tap off the ends of the torsion bar.Took me a while to work that one out you will need to support the vehicle on axle stands as it will end up very low once the torsion bars are disconnected

iv fitted a couple of gear box's and yes they are not a nce job, i managed to unbolt the cross member and pull the torsion bars down enough and put block in to hold them down. i started one at 8 out and in by 1 depending how many tea brakes ya plan. You have to remove the gearbox to pull the engine out as there is not enough room to get the clutch/flywheel out before you hit the front axle so has to come straight up. good luck :thumb2

However I'm taking the opertunity to get all the project jobs done in one big hit
So it's all the cutting and welding for the big wheels, the body lift (cause extreme's doing one:lol), plug in the gas, do the 3lt clutch, swap the turbo, do the electric fans, the poly bushes, the bucket seats the rear spoiler, the roll cage and plumb in the tea ern

well im doing nout for a week or two, the garage space let me down

need 7-10 days in a lock up to get the job done

but will possibly need paint then

Cut the rear bumper,do the LSD up the front, refit the power amps, fit my new speakers,plumb in the line lock,bin the compensator,rear discs,hydraulic handbrake and hi level rear brake light.
Oh nearly forgot, the one thing that may take a little time,tint the back window:lol
