I drove 330 miles yesterday, from Altandhu (near Ullapool) to home.
Just as I got the caravan into the garden the clutch pedal went to the floor and I was unable to select any gears. How lucky am I? :augie

All the fluid has drained from the master cylinder when I looked this morning in the light, there was a obvious line of brake/clutch fluid from about half way up the flexi rubber hose and across the gearbox cross-member, no fluids higher up the pipe.

I've taken the hose off and fitted a blanking plug for the damper pipe (that's a job I've been meaning to do for yonks :naughty), so I'll fit the new extremely short damper pipe to a new hose housing.

First question, does the flexi pipe separate from the metal housing, it doesn't look like it does? :nenau

And where is the best place to buy a new pipe from? :bow

Thanks to Revolver's pm I've found this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clutch-Hose-Nissan-Terrano-Ford-Maverick-ADN153906-/310518205637?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item484c53ccc5

Which does away with the metal box and damper pipe.:thumb2

Or they do the right pipe here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clutch-Hose-Nissan-Terrano-Ford-Maverick-ADN153904-/400566435560?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d439ebee8

I am keen to do away with unnecessary connections and complications, so if Revolver is reading this:
Did you (or anyone else) fit the first pipe without the box and is/was it OK? :nenau

Hi and yes been using the simple pipe without the steel junction box since I posted the thread above, less to go wrong and cheaper :thumb2

I've got one of the straight through hose on order, thanks for the info. :thumbs

As of this morning we had two feckin cars off the road, the Terrano with the clutch and our Citroen Picasso with a goosed radiator, 8 miles to the nearest town (Langholm) and no wheels, love it! :augie

Delivery guy turned up this morning with the radiator for the Picasso, so one fixed and one to fix. :lol

If we didn't have the internet..............................:nenau

Can I confirm that using part adn153906 I can connect from the slave cylinder direct to the pipe from the master cylinder and that the male thread will fit the female on the new pipe , thus avoiding the metal block on the usual part (adn153904) ?

Thanks
