Hi

just tried to bleed my cluth pedal (as It feels a bit low and you can 'pump' it up to a good pressure by pushing it a few times) but as soon as I push the pedal with the bleed nipple undone the pedal goes to the floor and wont come back!!! Does anyone know if there should be a spring on it to return or is it dependant on the actual clutch springs to do this??? Making it really hard to do :(:(:(

thats weird coincidene ive just been out now as i posted on here yesterday abnout the clutch being stiff someone advised bleeding it and on the first stroke of pedal the pedal goes down and wont come back up again its stuck down but i cant pump it back up again so i will await yourreplies

Well with the bleed nipple open on the slave cylinder I can just pull/push the pedal up and down by hand! No resistance at all....... I am now warm again (its jolly cold out there laying under the car) so will follow the advice in the workshop manual and bleed from the back of the car then do the slave cylinder.... once I did up the bleed nipple I had to pull the pedal back up and it was fine !!! Looks like it does rely on the clutch springs to return the pedal under normal conditions:eek:

i dont know whats going on with mine i can pull the pedal back up by hand but thers nothing underneath it holding it up pressure wise u just touch it and it drops to the floor as if whatever goes in when you press the pedal ie hydraulic wise is stuck in and wont return any suggestions anyone
