A member put this problem onto the forum a couple of weeks ago, but I cannot find the advice he was given
He was told to Grease Up the area, and after doing so the noise disappeared
Can anyone remember this problem if so where do I grease.to stop this knocking noise.
The noise comes if I stand on tow all and jump up and down.

Noise to rear

This is a very none tech person trying to explain the noise!!!!
At the rear of the vehicle is what looks like a Yolk. At the end of this yolk on both sides there is a rod of about 8 inches which in turn attaches to the main frame.
When pushing the vehicle up and down this is where the noise comes from.
This Yolk is just below the Differential Box.
Hope this helps with a possible diagnosis

Sounds like you are describing the rear anti_roll bar joints that need replacing.

A picture would help.

Anti Rollbar joints

Thanks for that info. I like to wait until back in England to get things done.It is not too bad so is it OK to drive until we are next back

The roll bar attaches to the rear axle, both ends go forward to a joint, on a rod that attaches to the chassis, if this is the part where the noise is coming from, then it will probably be ok.
Some members have even removed them for better rear articulation.

Just in case, wait for confirmation from another member, that we are talking about the right parts.

I would agree with Rustic, sounds like the ARB drop links, easy to exchange.
If you lay under the truck, try and bang them upwards with your hand or tap them with a lump of wood, if they are worn, they will move and give a knocking noise.

I have the same noise on mine.
Mine are the rear drop links.the bushes are shot so the rod is clunking all the time.
Changing them later.
Looks like I will have to cut the old ones off with the grinder as they are well shagged.
Only about a 30 mins job.
