'clonk' on full lock in 4WD

This morning I experienced a 'clonking' on my 2006 pathfinder when in 4WD mode and on full lock

I'm hoping (probably in vane) that it's normal but fearing an expensive fix may be required, any suggestions?

Expensive for Zippy is any thing over a pound.:lol:lol

Just put a bit of grease on the 4 steering stops. If it's the same as the Terrano

I had the same problem when i bought my terrano, got a cold sweat when i first heard it, then these guys sorted it out straight away, 4 large blobs of grease, still quiet after 3 months. Gonna put some more on before the weather changes.

pop along and ill get the little zippys to do it, they did mine before the mot friday

Right, found the PDF and printed it off, can't find the things shown on my front wheels/suspension

I did just "pop my head under", I haven't crawled under the car for any length of time so I may have missed them I guess :nenau

mmm the pathfinder must differ on the stops then. but if its on full lock only im sure its there stops just not like the T2's

Thanks , I've got this clunk so I know now where to look. But whats the best place to get them as my nearest dealer is 20 miles away? and may not stock them.

It's cheaper and easier just to grease them up, apparently the plastic stops don't last too long.

Grease them now see how you go, pick up next time you pass a Nissan or even a Ford (Maverick) dealer may have them.
