either the bulbs have gone, or the connector behind the clocks needs a good clean or repair.

Is it just a few, or all of them?:nenau

My 95 Mav has a rotating knob / control that varies the brightness of the back lights, if yours has one, look at this first.

Also forgot to mention the warning lights to let you know the first click head lights are on DOES NOT work either :nenau

So sounds like side lights fuse has gone...

If you have a tow bar, check wiring in the socket as the side light wire goes there too, and is the most vulnerable.
