Hi guys, just had the teranno in the garage for a fluid change and quick check over prior to a trip to France, i asked the mechanic to check out a loud clicking noise i get when on full lock.
He said that it is a nissan charactaristic, and his 55 plate navara does it and has done it from new, can anyone out there confirm or deny this explanation.

thanks for that i will look into that.:thumbs

Probably is the steering stops as shown in the download. Those caps mentioned in the download don't seem to last very long so dabbing on plenty of grease on a regular basis might be just as good.

in my experience it's most 4x4's including mazda/ford, suzuki, mitsubishi and daihatsu. Grease is usualy better than the plastic caps :thumbs

gonna grease it all in the morning and see how it goes from there, thanks for all your info and advice.:thumbs

Thing to remember about full lock anyway is do not keep high pressure on the steering wheel while on full lock ease it a little, that way as you go over lumps and bumps you are less likely to strain things, Rick

Yup, first time round I conscientiously bought the caps. Didnt last long even with grease on so liberal helpings of copaslip over the knackered plastic caps, no further problems :thumb2
