Clicking and squeaking 4wd

Wonder if it would be worth checking the front UJ's in case they are out of grease & squeaking when under load:augie you getting any vibration at all when driving normally

I have loads of grease in the car, not sure on where to check though :eek: I will ask Rick if we get time, yes there is vibration but it's been Like this for a while.

The squeak was actually not under load, it was when we were returning to dry land, after the engine had been running stationary for 30 mins, seemed to be a revolutionary noise though :nenau perhaps belt or something wheel related.

My old girl really needs a full service me thinks, I've done all fluids (minus brake fluid) but not really serviced anything else.

Edit - the only uj I can picture is on the shaft?
 
I have got auto hubs fitted so mine was only catching in 4wd when the prop from the transfer box was turning.
To find my problem I got the Mrs to drive slowly in 4wd while I stood outside and looked.
 
Ive got it in my head its cv, dunno why, my list is forever growing and the "winter" :rolleyes: is approaching...
