Main thing to worry about is if it has been stored in sealed containers or not, as it is hygroscopic, so absorbs water from the atmosphere, which would be bad news. Other than that, I would use it as a 50/50 percentage, mixed with fresh veg, or as is, at this time of year, where I would be using more diesel with it anyway.

i was given 40ltr by a chap that closed a cafe and it had been in his shed 5 years still sealed,i opened it and was still clear so bunged it straight in,no probs as all gone now,saved me filtering etc so thanks to him.so if it looks clean just use it.

Yep, so is Diesel... and I can't remember where I read it, but I am sure I read that the water in Veg oil makes it more acidic, so less engine friendly as well.
