The weekend nears :sly

Myself, the mrs, her niece and nephew are going to a campsite in cheddar gorge Sunday to set up our bad man tent :sly

I've got the following gear.

Big tent
2x king size air mattresses
Led hanging lights
Torches
Sleeping bags
Fire starting clickers
Pillows
Extra tent pegs
Rubber mallet
Peg remover
Veg oil :naughty
Air pump
Bug spray
Terrano :naughty
The campsite has wood for fires, toilets, showers and food ect, also nearby pubs and shops, pizza can be ordered to the site if needed

There are also cheddar gorge caves and wookie hole caves :naughty

It's set to be raining so might have a slippery Terrano to play with :D

Ahhhh... the responsibility... your niece and nephew too lol

I've taken after you uncle rustic :lol

He's 18 and had just returned from Zante and she is 14, both full of character :lol

From the few really old caravan and camping magazines I once laughed at for weeks, you will need a good knife. In another article it recommends some cardboard to cover your wheels while parked so that the tyres do not perish in the sunshine:nenau

No such thing as poor weather, just poor clothing:thumb2

You'll have a great time Im sure. We are going to try a short camping weekend soon with the dogs to see how they go on, got two labs and one is rather lively so a camp site nearby we can easily come home with the dogs. I love camping, great fun even when it's cold.

Enjoy it uncle alex:thumbs

Enjoy it Alex, it's a great part of the UK. If you get a chance try a visit to Glastonbury or Wells, really lovely........I miss bits of the UK .......:(

Cheddar Gorge is really nice was a long time ago that I went but you get see them making cheese try sampling etc which is stored in the caves, I kid you not.
Wooky hole caves were a bit of a disappointment though.

Wookie hole is now so expensive......the best bit is the hand making of paper at the mill there.

The cheese at Cheddar is totally great, so tasty.......:thumb2

A great place for a nice walk very close by, and relatively unexplored, is Ebbor Gorge, a wild place, a nature reserve, lovely.

Love that area.but never been in the caves.too expensive.
Love the hand made sweet shop though.

Have a good weekend mate :thumb2
