Hello.

I supose my Maverick as a TD27Ti engine. (1997 Ford Maverick)

The check engine light already turned on 2 times.
Loss of power for a couple of seconds (maybe 15) and then off and the power is back.

Where do i start the diagnose?
Does it have a ODB plug anywhere? Or is too soon for ODB?

clean mini filter on ip inside banjo fitting, and empty fuel filter from water or replace filter,a good place to start.

Check out the downloads, tells you how to read the codes with a paper clip, Rick

I must be blind, where is the download section? :doh

They are very hard to find... First you have to go back to the "Home" page

From there, in the amber line that runs along the top, click on "Quick Links"

Then from the drop down select "club Promo, Workshop downloads....." it goes on a bit..

This is the direct link

According the workshop manual:
If MIL extinguishes: No trouble codes have been recorded.

It does turn off after around 15 seconds.
The two times it happened, was in calm driving.
Low throttle, around 1500RPM.

Will check the fuel filter.

Mine is a bit newer than yours, but still an oldie, and it recorded codes without even turning the MIL on, so worth a check. Even if you just clear it so you know any new codes apply to your current issue.

A word of caution, there are two systems, one is bridge and hold for the codes, release to clear codes,,, the other bridge for 2 seconds and release, to clear the codes bridge and hold for a few seconds, one is for Bosch the other Zexell so first time round you will almost certainly clear any stored codes as I cannot recall which is for what one, Rick

Didn't try the paper clip.
But did replace the fuel filter.
The mini filter in the diesel pump already gone.

A previous owner must removed it.

Let see how it behaves.

you sure mini filter gone it it deep in ip and you need a long hook ed wire to lift it out,you cant see it easily.

It wasn't me, it was my mechanic.

I don't want to doubt him, or else i can't leave the cars there... ;)

Panelbeater is on the money here, must have taken me 3 attempts before I finally managed to fish mine out of it's orifice
