no I didn't really.

Had the cat been walking the other way, the guy who invented cat's eyes would have invented the pencil sharpener instead.:lol:lol

They tried the solar powered LED cat's eyes near to the Belfry golf club, in the West Midlands, they were great, like a landing strip, but over the next few months they slowly started to fail.
Now they use standard cat's eyes.

The reason for failure is unclear, but they are hit by 10 tonne axles, cars at 70 mph, resist heavy braking, fatigue, water and corrosive salt, temperature extremes of -20 C to over 100 C with direct sun on them and the surrounding tarmac, but more likely battery technology letting them down again, 365 cycles per year on small batteries, I assume they must store some energy.

"Brilliant" idea though excuse the pun.
