Changing Auto trans fluid

Is there a duffers guide on here or could someone guide me through it please?

I've head about removing the sump to clean the filter,do i need a new gasket first?.Do i check the level with the engine running?

beware !!

the 8.5 litres of atf mentioned in the specs includes whats in the torque converter ... use the dipstick !!!

Briggie,while you are here,sorry off subject - i've been reading about the mechanical pump mod (winding in the smoke screw),i'm intrigued but will this affect my fuel consumption (burning more fuel),or will i just need less throttle as the torque will increase,is it a worthwhile mod?

absolutely no idea. for auto's you need someone really clever.

i know nothing at all about the auto box

sorry cant help . maybe toolbox or timbo possibly terra but auto's wont be his thing either

are we talking tweaking the waste gate valve or a screw on the fuel pump.

for both of these id recommend talking to timbo . he really is the man on fueling and turbos. there is as i understand it lots of room for fun tweaks on the old td's and its easy (although ive never done it )but you really need proper advise (timbo) for that cos done wrong it can go very wrong. if you over do it
again toolbox is very clued up on this too
