hi thinking of changing to x trail eny info good or bad
thinking of 2.2 tdi are they any good

hi,

not bad at all. one of our members, 'fingers' replaced a terrano with an xt and reckons tows his caravan, very well.

reckon the new diesel engines pull very well.

had my x 6yrs love it to bits mines a manual box, check for syncro whine in box, intercooler leaking oil, electrics as this is fly by wire, i do most of my repairs myself (mechanical) the rest has to be taken to the garage, if you know some body with the soft ware briliant hope this helps

Mate of mine treated himself to one 3 years ago (dont know which diesel engine it was). He doesnt tow but uses the space to carry his dogs around. It was the posh trim.

His criteria are sensible running costs (he doesnt do diy), reliable and comfy. Ive seen him p ex a car after a year because it failed on one or the other criteria.

Lets just say he's still got it and no intention of changing it in the foreseeable future :thumb2:thumb2

Only bought my xtrail in january but apart from A few teething problems to do with sellers when first got has been A great truck so far am doing 38/40 to gallon , am doing between 400/700 miles per week :thumb2

That really shows my lack of concentration  just noticed date on this :lol

sheila had a 51 plate x trail dci turbo sport ...... 6 speed manual , she loved it , on one trip to norfolk it averaged 47 mpg , but.....

lets just say we are glad the company paid for the maintenance ,

it needed a cat ...... only available from nissan ..... around £900

dont ask about the maf or ckp

but apart from all the breakdowns /expense was a lovely car , very quick , cheap to run

maybe her car was a friday night special ?

The people I bought mine from had loads of trouble from the maf because they didnt take any notice when I took it back telling them that through my searches on line is most common prob just needed stripping & cleaning, they took two weeks to come to the same answer but went to A nissan garage (who didnt find the answer )god knows how much they spent :lol
