Hi All

Hoping you can help here! I have a 2001 T2 with a radio/CD changer head unit like this one 1ff0_1.jpg. It is the one with the integral hazard warning light.

I would like to replace this unit with a Cd player. Is there a faceplate out there to take the redundant hazard warning light switch? Has anyone else done this mod and if so how did you get round the hazard warning switch problem???

Thanks
Lee

just got one recently for my t2 swb 2001 model, which should be the same as yours.

Got mine from the nissan dealer for handiness, i got a separate faceplate and separate harrard switch which fits into it.

Can't remember the price as i got it with somany other things at the same time but will try and hunt the reciept out for you.

I need to get an iso adaptor before i attempt the install... looks pretty straight forward.

They're probably available on ebay as well for less.

Resurrecting this thread! I tried two different Nissan dealers for a faceplate and both looked at me blankly. I searched on the net for one and only found one on ebay.... but it was already sold and the online shop did not stock any more.

Does anyone have any ideas how i could get the faceplate? Is there a part number anyones knows of that i can quote to nissan? I have emailed the ebay shop to see if he can source another but he hasnt got back to me.

Try, try and try again. Thats my motto lol.

Regards
Lee

When I got mine for the old T2 I asked for a 'Radio Blanking Plate', came with the hazzard switch all there.... then just took a stanley knife to the 'slot' where the standard radio goes in (shapes all there, just cut through the fine plastic)

Think it was about £17 quid'ish....

oops forgot about this i'll go get the reciept now...

:thumb2okay as said before it's two parts:

Part No Description Price
28268AV600 SWITCH ASSY-REM £62.31
252909F500 SWITCH ASSY-HAZ £22.80

not cheap as you can see but i needed it as had expensive head unit already...

the above parts are from a nissan dealer in Northern Ireland

if your really stuck i'm sure they could arrange postage or tell you where to get them locally

Hope it helps,

Bill

Absolutely brill:thumbs. I am from NI so it is not a prob getting them. I must have searched the net for about 8 or 9 hours over the last few days trying to find one. It was Charles Hurst that I had asked who looked at me blankly!

Cheers mate:thumb2
