I have a hp4000 already but for offroading and general CB I just use a larger springer antenna as they are bombproof.

fuffin good the hp 4000 innit ? especially with some " extra help " on ssb :augie

was worried that 5 ft would catch on to much stuff

Pah, that's nothing:sly
I had two 5ft springer mag mounts on mine for a while:lol
My cb broke and so I ended up with one receiving and one transmitting:doh
Mucho complicated for a few weeks :D

not used it yet to be honest, need to get a new rig for my vehicle. But once I have my roof rails installed I will stick it on.

Buzz, I'd just scrape a bit of the paint off if its aluminium just so some metal contacts. Then if you ever sell it paint it.

was thinking of using a epg on the mount to ground it, so saves the paint work and can still be mounted on the rails
