What have you got?

I need one that isn't magnetic as mine needs to :stopbeing:

It keeps falling over at high speeds or at the very first sight of a branch due to its crappy magnetic base

I was wondering if brackets exist whereby I can attach it to my roof rails on a clamp maybe

Show me some examples because this one is going in the bin

Ohhhhhhh thats new!!!!! Not seen one like that before and that will mean I don't have to keep getting out to remove it to get in Car Parks!!

only problem with it is it will predominantly radiate back wards, but briggie can tell you more about that, Rick

I've one of these in the middle of the roof

gotthegift.co.uk/index.php/cb-radios/aerials-/-antennas/sirio-turbo-800s-blue-line-antenna-kit/p_458.html

I mounted it just behind the interior light where there's a bracing rib and used a bit of alloy plate under the roof to spread the load a bit. It folds 90° to the roof if you need to get into a garage or car park etc. I've used sirio arials on tractors for years and they get a fair bit of abuse battering off trees and shed doorways and the like. They aren't the cheapest but I can't fault the quality.

Im using a large mag mount with a large springer aerial. Its mounted in the centre of the roof for best performance.

Cheers Gav

I have one that clamps on to the roof bars. it was on the car when I got it
no use to me , you can have it if you pay for the postage!

got a mini stinger on a modern mag, rock solid middle of roof for good ground plane

the ebay spare wheel mount will push more signal forward due to more metal work
in front of it

potentially some of body will be in front of aerial which will interfere with signal.

id say get a good mag, centre of roof, and just climb up and pull it off when in multi
storey etc.

fastened to a roof rail will bias the signal towards other side of car. and if hits something
at speed do more damage.
