Good man Paul,welcome back. You have already opened another can of worms regarding Adz source of low cost Sunflower Oil, I'll bet it fell of the back of a lorry On a side issue,how were things in France??

Purchased from Makro but i think it was proper cheap poo made up with $hit :doh

I'm sticking to diesel & veg oil to be safe now :doh

That and the tweaking he appears to have done to his turbo etc.. are, as has been said exhaustively (no pun intended), are what are to blame, not the SVO

You are one of the members i respect opinion from :thumbs

Tweaking a turbo doesnt result in blocking a filter, pump & injectors

&

SVO = Straight Vegetable Oil which ISNT what i used.

I used, or thought i used straight Sun Flower Oil...

i remember when there was a big fad on stolen diesel, people were offering it with a wink at knockdown prices, thing is it often wasn't stolen, or even diesel, it was any old crap, parts cleaning fluid etc.

could the same be happening with bulk veg oil? that cheap stuff is being described as better than it is?

Adding on to planks post, if you ever get offered any cheap diesel be very very careful even if it seems ok , we recently had a spate of cheap diesel offered that turned out to be 60% diesel and 40% WATER offered in 45 gallon drums in staffordshire, so BE CAREFUL its the age of the con man with whats happening with the economy etc A friend of mine lost 200 squid on 2 drums and a fluffed landcruiser in the process

could have been just thicker and lifted the dirt out of your tank.
lets face it it could have been any number of things .
we will never actually know what caused adz's problem

but it wont have been the svo.

Be interesting to hear what Timbo thinks Adz; my thought process was that a tweaked turbo might have changed the fuel-air mix or some other parameter and made it run hotter somehow....but not technical enough to speculate. :thumb2

Yeah can see where your coming from but it was definitely fhe fuel what ever the hell it was :lol
