Hi guys, can anyone recommend a good caulking gun please. My standard thin metal diy type gun just isn’t cutting the mustard. I’ve been fitting a window in the van and the adhesive is really thick even though the tube had been sat on a radiator for an hour so both me and my son struggled with the gun and I’ll be honest it hasn’t half hurt our hands. Even looked at the battery powered guns but they are very expensive so a none starter really.

Recommendations are welcome please.

So far, the best manual one I have found are the ones that Lidls and Aldi sell. It's a solid tube, and even comes with extra bits that allow you to fill the tube directly. I first used it for thick caulking, and it was easier than the open flat metal ones.

I know it sounds daft but you can use your spare wheel as an air reservoir and will run a mastic gun no problem, just nee a bit of hose and a couple of schraider connectors, Rick
