Catch Can Mod 3 Litre

Has anyone ever done a catch can mod on a 3 litre Terrano and if so could you please post details.

The pipe that goes from intercooler to turbo is weeping oil at the turbo end.

Still need to do one on mine after fitting the new Turbo as mines currently "venting to air" well cable tied into a vented food bag :doh

I'd like a nice stainless one or something so if you find a nice one Jim please post some links up

I was rather hoping someone else could do that as I don’t know what the flying tomato I’m doing :doh

Two ways to pipe in a catch can.
One is just fit in line and keep the existing pipe work back into the turbo.
The other way is to vent it to air through a mini filter and blank the inlet to the turbo.
As for choice there is an abundance of them on ebay ranging from around a tenner upwards.

Mine is simply vented to air. I mini aur filter for motorbikes on eBay. Simples.

Mann ProVent 200. Proper job!
Dirty air out, filtered then clean air back in. Simple drain fitted to remove the sludge from the can.

Since the 3 litre engine is a bit different then the 2.7 I'm just double checking, the hose I've marked is that the one you place the catch can in between?

I want to order a new hose for my catch can and want to be sure I have the right one in my mind

Ferdi it looks as if you're intercooler is misting oil from the bottom right, I'd lift the cover off and have a look mate

Mine is bad. The pipework and the intercooler needs a flush out AND a catch can
