I knew there was an engineering cert of sorts in Aus but not in NZ . I agree about the nylock in pointing down and it does on the truck. I haven't split pinned mine just so I can tweak it a bit, but good point.
The angle of my control arms is well withing the Rose joints I've used instead of ball joints. As yours then the end result is a much lowered angle of dangle and so far anyway, prolonged life ;)
Any pics of yours installed ?
 
Wow I am actually glad to live here in the UK for once, Nylon nut is classed as a form of lock nut and petes steering is legal here.

I thought NZ would be a little more relaxed about it

IIRC you've got restriction on lowering cars over there aswell as you have to have so many mm of clearance underneath & if you want to go any lower you have to put the car in for some sort of safety test:nenau where over here you can slam them as low as you want:augie

where abouts in nz you from? i was te awamutu then hamilton until last year.. may go back at some stage possibly tauranga or outskirts near the beach not sure yet..
