caravan window problem

I have a caravan with a 'de-laminated' window, no cracks or damage just the inner and outer are coming unstuck, it is a 2005 Swift. Any ideas for a DIY fix? :thumb2

I bought some 6mm laminated glass to replace some on my boat, I guess it depends on how the frame is held together.
I used a black silicon type glazing compound to seal it in, it looked as good as the rest.

They used the old glass as a template.
They could probably do curves too.

Another option is second hand, there are always lots of caravans being re cycled.

Dont know mate only know this one for acrylic.

cheers, having issues with my middle front window too, g-clamped and bonded once already but not convinced
its worked, will put this on my shopping list.

seems to be outer piece thats loose, the inner piece has the clips to the body, have fear of outer flipping up or off
travelling, even wondered about one of these front dirt covers designed for travel to keep it secure.

Have you tried a caravan breakers, you may be able to get a 2nd hand one.

agreed, my choice would be not to have any of front opening, when you think of
hammer they get from weather and towing.

plus 3 windows 6 curtains, the old adage spoils the view.

It seems that I may be the only one still posting on this thread but here goes!

I have decided on and ordered some of this:

as the windows are the type with the 'screen printed' pattern inside and this adhesive is least likely to deform the pattern, also no dispensing gun or any other equipment required. it also has a higher viscosity and longer assembly time than the others - a few minutes rather than a few seconds!

I will let you know how it goes, It is not a job i am looking forward to!

Cheers Jim, the repair materials have cost the best part of £40, but a new window is £450!

I've done a few.

just make sure you keep every thin lined up as it should be.

lots of masking tape to holed things in place

if its the right stuff will go clear when dry and you'll never know
