Went out in terrano 2 2.7tdi yesterday all fine. Turned it off and then tried to start a few minutes later and just cranked over and over. Can't get ml indicator to flash a fault code. Any ideas?

could be good old CKP sensor-check the plug at the front where all the plugs and connectors are-the ckp runs form between the belts, up over the thermostat area to the plugs...also check yoru fuel filter-prime it if its loose then try starting again.

could also be your starter not engaging...!

Sometimes the NATS gets confused I think, but I have had success simply by pulling the key, holding it away from the switch for a few seconds, and then trying again. Maybe that will do it.

ckp - depends on year of your car, could well be at the back in the bell housing..
