cant get a blow cant open flaps

on my windscreen.dont matter what position i have blower selector in it doesnt blow on the windscreen.think its the direction flaps rather than pipes off.is this a dash out job. anyone had this prob cure please.

some of the levers and cables pop off at the ends. so you need to look at them first.
 
I have had a similar issue with mine. You will need to get your head down into the drivers footwell and find a cable operated 'cam' type affair. This is located (sort of behind the radio/ashtray).

You can grab hold of this and operate by hand from there. When you do it check to see if the control knob on the dashboard moves. If it doesn't your cable has come adrift and needs to be re-attached. You can have a look at it by removing the radio, but to reattach it, the plastic moulding holding the radio, ashtray and cup holder etc will have to come out.

Its a bit of a fiddle, but you can get to it and reattach the cable properly if nothings broken or by bodging it like I had to.

we had this issue on one of our ford rangers i investigated to find and unused amplifier lead from the back of the stereo had tangled in the mechanism :doh

Sorry to dissapoint but it got your attension. although did manage to sort flaps before going to work:naughty:naughty

whip the front off first and check the heater controls, as Zippy says sometimes the cables com adrift.....are you getting air to face and footwell separately when those positions selected?

yes just seems to be no windscreen.just noticed dial a bit stiff on windscreen only.

there is your answer i suspect ....... do you have a setting that is windscreen/floor ?
