Hi all,-
just got the T2 back mobile after fittin new fuel pipes and breather along the underside and while was at it did the clutch one too, all in nice shiny copper. They were all in a very corroded state. Good job done. Was able to take a close look at the condition of the underneath. Not to concerned but did notice a bit of rot starting along the bottom of the sills. Think the T2 would benefit from some Waxoyl treatment. A few years ago i owned a classic car, and Waxoyl was what everyone used. i even had all the kit- probes and attachments that you fitted to the cans and pumped the stuff into all the hard to get places. sadly i no longer have this kit, was wondering if anyone has used Waxoyl on their truck, is it still readily available and the kit to apply it?
Thanks Wayne

Hi wanaron
Waxoyl is still available at any good motor shop. Halfords sell all the kit to go with it.

hey bud,

nice one - when I had a range rover some years back, first thing me local friendly ex-army mechanic did was fit copper alloy brake and fuel pipes - "last a lifetime"

ta for that Gordoni, there was some talk on here that the fuel pipes flow and return wer slightly different sizes,- as ive said i changed mine for copper, case of having to they were rotten, but ive used 8mm copper for both- cant see a problem, driving really well.
