I have a Terrano R3mR and I need to have the Air Con regassed. The garage who will do this for me suggested that I would need to replace the cabin filter. They are unsure where the filter is located or even if my vehicle has on as standard. This is a 1996 vehicle in good condition but no cold air! I will attempt to change the filter or filters if I can find it/them first. Can anyone assist

On our 1986 R3mR I could not find one, and then from what I read, they did not start fitting them until 1996, and even then it was hit and miss.

If it has one, it should be in the same place as the T2's, which has a "How To", in the workshop downloads. Not a hard job, just annoying how many screws you have to undo.

There was a modificaton that some of the Aussies did, where they fitted a custom (actually bastardised) filter in the air intake in front of the windscreen under the scuttle panel.

Cabin Filter

Thanks for the help now have replaced both cabin filters. Lots of screws to remove before replacing filters.
