Hi im thinking of doing a Nav Ex.
so to get you used to the idea here a couple you can do while sat at home.
can you get Bing maps.
if so put in the following.
Bottesford Leicestershire.
if you can you will see a letter N in a circle with direction of movement arrows.
then (+) ( -) then a drop down box with map choices .
click on ordnance survey.
you should be now looking at a map with numbers and squares on it.
Grid Reference numbers always read (Along the corridor and UP the stairs) .
so Bottesford is in box 81 39.
if you then divide each box into 10 parts each way you can then see how i could direct you to a grid ref point.
Find g.r.p. 833 395 you will be looking at a line of Red dots with a Black lines ether side of it that comes to a dead end. this was an orpa (other route public access) but is now a Byway.
if you are seeing green dots click on the (-) button till green dots turn Red.
There is another lane close by.
Find Glebe fm.
pm me the grid reference point.
now look at 755 308 you will see Red (+) stands for Byway.
pm me the g.r.p. where it re joins the road.
