Hi first posting on forum. I’m having starting problems on my 1998 S plate Terrano II 2.7TDi . I’m in the process of following the Workshop Six instructions to check the glowplugs and have reached the stage requiring removal of the Buzzbar. However I can’t see the little nuts referred to in the worksheet. There are what appear to be black cover caps with a thin slot. I thought as the worksheet is based on a 2000 model year and mines a 98my it might be a “screw head” type fixing on mine. But the thinnest bladed screwdriver I have to fit the slot only covers about half the width of the slot and starts chewing it up. So the question is . Am I having brain fade and missing something obvious? Or am I heading in the right direction and just need to get a wider bladed screwdriver that fits the slot and avoid chewing the head up?
(I’ll try and attach a pic , so it’s hopefully easier to see what I’m on about).
Any advice or pointers will be much appreciated.

Glowplug fitting issue

Sorry this going to be slightly long winded.
The glow plugs weren't available to collect until after 5pm Monday arvo. So i only started fitting them this morning. Problems, firstly one of them was different to the other three. It was a Blue Print ADN11826 (which according the bilsteingroup website doesn't even fit Terrano) the other three were ADN11817 which the website indicates fit Terrano II 05/1996 onward so should have been ok in a 08/1998. Tried hand screwing one in and it wouldn't turn when it was about 1/2 inch short of being seated. Tried the other two in different cylinders, same problem. The old plugs all easily seat snugly by hand. Compared new to old plugs and the dims/taper varied. Went back to factors (as I needed to anyway due to the random plug) and he said its a common problem with non OEM parts and I'd needed to go down the OEM route at £22 each to guarantee a fit but he couldn't get any until mid next week. Anyway I gave up on him and got refunded, especially as he supplied the plugs based on me giving my reg number not me specifying the brand/part no..
Therefore the questions; which brand of plug would I best be using?

I wouldn't use him again mate!!!!! Who sells a customer 4 glow plugs that are different brands :doh

These have been by far the best ones I've found mate;

All I can say is, whatever you get, make sure you don't get plugs with ceramic tips as they can break off and drop into the cylinder head and cause real damage, these metal rod ones are the bees knees :clap

I recently put a set from Milners in mine. They do the job fine. I think they might not be everyone's cup of tea though. :augie
