Burst clutch pipe

The other day whyle towing my caravan the clutchpedal went in and stayed in on investigation their was a burst pipe at the rear pissin clutch fluid all over the place .This was about the back wheel .What is the pipe doing at the back it seems to just stop their an does nothin as we cut it and bent it and it now works fine .Verry confused ?????:bow

is it not a brake pipe, when brake fluid leaks out clutch fails first.

it acts as a damper for the clutch and they are £43.00 from nissan, but you can remove pipe from block and fit a ball bearing and fit pipe and tighten, bleed clutch and away you go, a few members have done it and all is well. :thumbs

that pipe went on mine. you can't buy that pipe any more go to your local plumbing centre and buy a conpression blank end in 10mm and bypass the pipe that is the only way you will get a clutch pedal back
