While out yesterday my truck was puffing out blue smoke, burning engine oil as you could smell it.
Seemed to be worse after we had done a lane so the engine had been working hard, then back to road driving it would smoke quite bad for a few minutes then clear.
I have been getting a puff of blue smoke on start up so I assumed it was the valve stem oil seals.
Never been this bad though.done an oil change last week using the same grade oil but different make, could this be making it worse:nenau
Not over filled with oil, checked that first.
New valve stem oil seals are going to be fitted ASAP but it got me thinking about piston rings and big end wear.
Anybody else had simular issues and what they did to rectify it
Cheers
