Bumpy Ride

Always thought my mav was a bit hard on the bumps but wasn't sure if it was just how the car was or something was amiss, so decided to get a couple of these; & don't take the piss out of my carpet :lol

after getting the old ones off you can see the difference :doh

the shock at the bottom is the o/s does not return any pressure, the n/s was a little better but the bush was badly worn the metal bearing just fell out.

1 fitted to the o/s now im :clap

fitted the n/s took the old gal for a spin & not surprising the ride was much improved, will have to get the rear done now.

Just out of interest what sort of a job is it to replace the fronts.

not being a mechanic its fairly easy, coz of the state of my old ones thay came out easy, just make sure you brush exposed threads before soaking in wd or the like, getting the new ones in was a bit tricky for me coz i dont like taking off more than i have to.

Easy enough to change loads of oil on the bottom bolt grinder through the top bolt.

Just out of interest what sort of a job is it to replace the fronts.

Depends how you do it, we were trying to use an extra bush or something at mine making the clearance at the top for the thread near impossible to pinch
