The Forrard and Aft black bumpers, plus the wheel arch mounts are to put it mildly bloody awful and spoiling the entire look of my Beast, more grey than black!!!!!
I bought a Halfords aerosol black bumper spray but after a month it is peeling off.

I have no paint spraying facilities here in France.
Any improvement ideas please.

Hi mate, we use Trimline textured black trim paint at work, lasts well and when you sell land rovers like we do :doh you need a lot of it lol

I think Clivvy did something with the finish of his bumpers, drop him a pm or wait until he pops along.

yup, I used a special primer first, several layers, then special bumper paint, not the Halfords stuff.

this first

then this

then lacquer of course.

I got all mine from ebay, there are some superb deals as this isn't cheap stuff, so have a search. Has worked brilliant on mine, no pealing, no marks, but as I say, I used several thin layers of each and used as close a match as possible. Changing the colour should be ok though (going from light grey to dark grey)

Bought both, Linseed oil and smooth Peanut Butter.Sadly I have eaten the Peanut Butter, but the Linseed oil works extremely well, thanks for the tip, I gues two or three applications a year.
Thanks again
