Greetings,

A question I have been meaning to ask for a while .... was there ever a Terrano fitted with Bull Bars from new and does it affect your insurance if you fit them?

Cheers

Rich

They seemed to be standard on Mistrals too so maybe it was an import thing where they were standard.

Going back a lot of years I used to work for Nissan Dealers up to 1997 and certainly up to then they were not standard. They were always an accessory bought and fitted at time of purchase. There were also some regulations came into force regarding them too around that time and I'm not too sure exactly how they will effect you.

What ever you do I would discuss with your insurance company first as I'm pretty convinced they will at the very least need to know but I suspect they'll bump up your premium.

When the MK2 (twin headlight model) came out Nissan did a soft A bar for them as an optional extra & had one on my old T2, Nissan also did the same for the MK3 as my mate managed to pick on up S/H sadly never seen one for the MK4:(

Hi,
If you find you have any issues with insurance at all for bull bars then please feel free to drop me a line. I'd be happy to try and help.
Regards,
Dan.

I actually had bull bars on the truck when I bought it. I know now that they were an after market product made by AVENGER an not factory fitted.

They looked a bit vicious really, I would hate to be a pedestrian on the receiving end of them. I debated quite a while whether or not to keep them on the truck or not. I have now taken them off and flogged them on fleabay and looking at the front end now .... I think it looks better without them.
