Would a bull bar for a 1998 Terrano fit a 2001 Y plate Terrano?

Would a bull bar for a 1998 Terrano fit a 2001 Y plate Terrano?

I think the mounting points are different? but I'm not sure

Thanks Dave, I was looking at a Bull Bar and contacted the seller, he told me that he had just bought a 2001 (51) plate and it does not fit that. So it seems that pre 2000 ish bars won't fit newer models.

I would of thought mounting points were the same I've not touched them. Think the main difference could be the shape of the body, there's been different styles of bumper.

its the bumper that is different on the newer ones.
I managed to fit a 1997 one on my 2000 but had to make new top brackets and slot the bottom holes to let it slide forward to clear the bumper.

so I am right if you had to make new top bracket and slot the bottoms bracket to get it to clear

that's right mate:thumb2
wasn't a big job to sort out.the two top brackets are just a bit of flat bar with a slight bend in them and I slotted the bottom holes by about 5 mm with a round file.
