hi i have a 94 square headlight terrano what headlights bulbs can i put in to brighten the Lights, without going down the lines of spotlights etc.

Laurie. and happy new year to you all.

I changed mine to 100/80 watt (100 watt main beam, 80 watt dip), made a bit of difference, but not as much as I would have hoped. However, on my other car, a Honda Jazz which had truly diabolical headlights I fitted standard wattage Osram Nightbreakers - very very much better.

I've just changed back from 100 watt plus bulbs in favour of night breakers:thumbs
The 100w jobs were a tad illegal officer and were also melting the connectors:doh
Has to be said I cant see the difference between the 100w jobbies and the night breakers, so go for the Osram Night Breakers :clap

Lights

I fitted standard wattage blue tint nightbreakers to headlights and spots on the newer shaped lights.Luvly.Not much better but a much cleaner light. Then I got the LED's from Darwin for the side lights and now all is crisp and white.

I got my bulbs from here. I upgraded my bank of High level brake lights from 5 x 5w bulbs to 5 x 10w bulbs. Ultra bright headlight bulbs, I put in blue LED lamps first then had to take them out for the MOT but replaced with bright white LED lamps.

Will those nightbreakers work on the round headlight midel too?

You can get Osram Nightbreakers in most common bulb types (H4, H7 and H1) The only ones I've not come across are HB1 and HB4 (these have the connectors coming in from 90 degrees instead of in line with the bulb).

Go with the night breakers i cant rate them high enough great bulbs, although one of mine blew last night!

you have a mistral .... are they a lot better than the standard candles ?.... and do they have to be that annoying blue ?

No theyre not blue briggie just nice and crisp absolutley transformed the lights on the auld mistral go get some ebay for a bout 15 quid :thumb2

don't waste your money on expensive headlight bulbs. I've tried nightbreakers, some other supa dupa xenon ones, some 100/90w things, and the headlights are just as crap.
There's a problem somewhere in the system which I haven't got round to fixing yet - either the reflectors are dirty, the adjustment is way out, or it's an electrical problem. I suspect yours is the same.

one of my ultrabrights blew, halfords had them on a bogof at £19. luckily for me, because the folowing week the other one went..

changed my standard bulbs for nightbreakers a couple of weeks ago and the difference is huge, I actually have good headlights now :thumbs:thumbs Got them on e bay for about £14 a pair

i changed my bulbs for a H.I.D. system, much much better than those silly night breakers and only 35w!!!
have to be careful though of the legallity of the kit, i purchased the legal one and had the head lights re adjusted, they are truely incredible now compared to what the standard headlight are.
