.

hi there i does screw into the wheel cylinder but the wheel cylinder sits inside the drum behind the casing i think

it needs the whole lot taking off and replacing the back plate i suspect
:(:(:(

Don't think the back plate will need replacing but you will need to replace the cylinder, i expect. Milners have them for about 17 quid, I think. Just replaced both of mine as 1 was leaking. Have a look at the shoes as well while you have it all stripped out. :thumbs

.

few thank god for that just had a look at a wheel cylinder and you are right the nipple screws into it was it easy to change ?

I didn't do as I was snowed under with work so friend of the family did it. Have a look in the technical section, might be something there. Hope it goes ok :)

hi very easy job in the end hammer the drum off undo 2 small 8mm bolts that hold the wheel cylinder in place undo the brake line going into it and out it pops bout a 20 min job.

OK but bear in mind that the brake pipe also screws into the cylinder and could well be just as tight, and you cannot get a socket on it, you need a good fitting open ended, and next time when you get it just moving do not carry on unless it is easy, tighten it again then undo repeatedly back and forth until you eventually unscrew it all the way, this works the thread helping to dislodge the crud that is holding it, a little heat is also good as is cellulose thinners, it gets into the ally better than anything else, Rick
