hi all
What causes the handbrake light on the dashboard to come on and a buzzer to sound when the brake pedal is pushed.
The master cylider is full and there are no visible leaks.
Help please

hi all

Thanks for the replies.

It was low brake pads.

The buzzer was a low vacuum warning.

I have another garage to recommend.

Details to follow

so its a low vacuam warning because of the brake pads then ? :nenau

ps try putting the key in the ignition with it in park and the handbrake off ... all hell breaks loose :doh

i er um , accidently forgot to apply the handbrake when i parked it up ,so when i went to check to see if it would drive later on , i put the key in the ignition and was scared crapless by a loud buzzing noise , then i realised if i put the handbrake on , it stopped :doh:doh:lol

hi all

Apparently the buzzer was coming on because the brakes were being pumped to check the wheel cylinders and hoses.
This action coupled with excessive pedal travel was using the vacuum

Regards and thanks

Paulp
