My Trol sounds like a bus when i apply the brakes, the pads have loads of meat left on them.
Should i take them out and give the calipers a clean and put a dab of copper grease on the back of the pads to stop it.

I thought they said this site was a good place for advice, or does no one know anything about brakes?

On the Maverick there are anti squeel shims between the piston and the brake pads, these often get lost on pad replacement, if they remain, they are as rusty as an old bean tin, and reading other threads, they are not needed.
So what is their purpose?:nenau

On the Mav/Terrano, the pads have a spring at the top of the pad. This helps to keep them from rattling about.
I always use copper grease on the rear and a small amount on the metal ends of the pad where they fit into the housing.
Spray discs and pad surface with brake cleaner before you start, I've never had squeeling brakes before.... kids yes..:lol
