Does anyone know how difficult it is to remove the brake servo and any pit falls. It's the project truck that's an automatic with a thumping great brake pedal.

Thanks

I ought to add it's not got anything wrong with it. The problem is a water leak from an old welding job that has damaged the seam sealer or something causing water to leak into the car.

Hoping to avoid disconnecting brake lines if possible, just undo some mounting bolts and pull to one side would be ideal I reckon.

you cannot remove the servo without undoing the pipes, if you separate the cylinder from the servo be very careful as the rubber O often does not seal again after, if you can just manage with moving it a bit then 3 or 4 nuts up on the pedal bracket and the pedal clevis will allow a bit of play, the pipes are quite tolerant of movement, Rick

Rick, do you think it's possible to get enough movement to get access to the seam between the inner wing and bulkhead?

Really don't want to disturb too much before the MOT next week.

Cheers

I got mine away enough to weld round there. The worst thing was getting the loom out the way as that corner was worse
As Rick says, the brake pipes are plenty long enough to be helped back a bit :thumbs

get your head up under the brake pedal and you will see 4 nuts coming from the servo area remove these and the pin to the pedal then pull the servo as much as you feel OK with, Rick
