Can anybody tell me where i might get the rear brake pipes made up for my Maverick? 1994 SWB, its the rears from drums to centre flexi? I went to get some made up today but they dont have the right connectors!! I had to change the flexi as it was leaking and brake pipes were seized so had to replace so mrs now has no car til fixed!!
Cheers Rich..

any motor factors should be able to do it for you

Been to two in Coventry today and no joy they dont seem to have the correct fittings!! they have the ones that go into the cylinder in drum but not the ones that fit the flexi.."Main dealer only" was the answer!!!

rick ( solarman 216 ) might be able to make you some :thumb2

Ok so leaking flexi and seized brake pipes finally sorted!! Phoned Ford this morning to see if they just supplied the unions as I had pipes made up already but they had tapered unoins on the ends that go into the flexi block, and as the thread is very shallow on the flexi, the tapered ones do not bite enough to make the pipe splay and cause the seal!! Guess what ..Fords dont supply just the unions but can supply pipes for £19.95 each plus VAT. Also went to Nissan who only had the tapered unions and said that these are the only ones they have and use!! Noticed a Motaquip whilst I was on my way out of the estate that Nissan are located and result, both sorts of union £3 for the 4, end of pipes cut off, then reflared, job done...Finally.
Question is would Ford really change one end of the pipe/ connector just so you can only buy from them?? Surely not?? Anyway job done and brakes working as they should again!! Thanks for the advice.
Rich..
