Hi all today I wanted to change the rear flexy brake pipe and steel brake pipe due to corrosion and managed to trace it back to a joint which was what looked like copper but managed to strip the threads so am going to replace with copper back to the abs unit.
I've noticed that where the original steel pipe goes up past the starter motor the steel pipe goes into a bit of a whirl kind of thing and goes around about 4 times and so does the clutch, front offside front brake pipe. Why have nissan done this and do I need to do the same with the new copper pipe ??:nenau. Thanks again.

It acts like a spring, gives a bit of flex to the pipe and prevents fractures.:thumb2

Also allows for a bit of lift. :augie

Doesn't this also allow you to do a 2" lift without re plumbing too...:nenau
Have Nissan thought of everything?
